Lumière has a tropical style that combines clean modern lines, saturated colors, and understated luxury. Built as a compound with three separate buildings, this villa has 21 doors and 10 windows, anchored by a large tiled pool and an expansive ipê wood deck. Lumière is the ideal villa to enjoy the gorgeous views of St Barths, the Caribbean, and the islands of St. Martin and Anguilla in the distance. Located high on the hillside above Flamands Beach, in a few minutes you can be lying on the sand of any one of the nearby beaches. Gustavia and St-Jean are also just a short drive away. As an added bonus, an excellent bakery/patisserie and a restaurant are a short walk from the house. Living Spaces: The main house at Lumière has an open living room, dining area, and kitchen, as well as a compact guest bath. The intimate living room has custom teak seating, a built-in library, and a flat screen tv with a Sonos soundbar. It’s the perfect place to unwind, dive into a good book, or just enjoy a glass of rosé. Kitchen and Dining Room: The kitchen at Lumière is fully-equipped for any cooking and entertaining you might want to do. Our concierge team can also organize grocery pre-stocking or delivery, catered meals, or arrange a private chef service for a special occasion. The dining room has a large teak dining table with seating for 6. It’s a gorgeous setting for festive meals with family and friends, all while enjoying the amazing views and the island trade winds through the French doors. Bedrooms: The 2 bedrooms at Lumière each occupy their own building and are also on different levels, each accessed via the outdoor deck. Quiet and peaceful, the bedrooms provide the ideal place to rest and restore at the end of your day. Each bedroom has a hotel quality queen-sized bed and bed linens, promising a great night of sleep. Both bedrooms also have a large walk-through closet, an ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, an overhead fan, and doors that look out to a private deck area. Each bedroom also has original artwork commissioned especially for Lumière. Outdoor Features: The main house at Lumière is surrounded on 3 sides by the oversized deck. There is an outdoor dining area, ideal for casual meals or cocktails under the stars. It’s also the best seat in the house when it comes to watching panoramic sunsets that light up the sea and sky. And with outdoor Bose speakers, music can be a part of your day. Lumière is surrounded on all sides with mature landscaping, so you will always feel like you are in your very own, and very private villa. Next to the dining area is an oversized 7.5 meter swimming pool lined in mosaic tile from Italy. It’s a great place to just relax or to cool off in the heat of the day. Sun seekers will love the 4 poolside lounge chairs to enjoy the St. Barths sunshine. From the deck you have gorgeous views of Flamands Bay and the offshore islands of Île Toc Vers, Île Fregate, and Île Bonhomme. If the beach is calling, you can be on the sand at Flamands Beach with just a short 5-minute drive. This strip of golden sand and turquoise blue water is one of the prettiest beaches on St. Barts. St. Jean Beach is also close by, just 7 minutes away by car. For something more secluded, Colombier Beach is a 25-minute trek, accessible only on foot or by boat. Amenities: Attention to detail and design plus that French joie de vivre, are all part of your stay at Lumière. This villa offers Wi-Fi, a gas grill, U.S. satellite TV, and a Sonos sound system extending inside and out. Beach chairs and beach towels are also provided. Other amenities provided to Lumière guests include Aēsop hand soap, Hermès bath soap, and the island’s very own Ligne St. Barth grooming products. A number of restaurants are within easy reach on Flamands Beach. A number of popular beach side restaurants and shops can be found in St. Jean, while Gustavia is filled with renowned restaurants and designer boutiques. Both are just a short drive from the villa. Lumière comes with house cleaning services six days a week (except on holidays). This villa is a non-smoking property. During the December holidays, the villa rents at the full occupancy rate regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
